Year 9 Student Earns Academy’s First Bronze Award For Achievement

Students who go above and beyond in their learning are reaping the rewards of a Star Student programme at Cleethorpes Academy.

Year 9 student Evie Green has achieved six Star Student Awards since the start of the Autumn term and, as a result, has become the first student to achieve her Bronze Award. 

Presenting Evie with her certificate, Mr Barney French, Head of House, said staff nominate students for the awards on a weekly basis. He said Evie (13) had demonstrated “outstanding levels of academic achievement.”

Evie said: “I like to apply myself to my subjects and to build good relationships with my teachers. The awards definitely motivate me to do better.”
